Natural Recall was born as a call to action, a work in progress to explore the connection between human kind and plants, research the inner workings between humans and the vegetable world. Natural Recall is an idea and a project by Gtower Studio e Studio Co.Me. The working members behind it all aim to promote debate followed by action on social issues of contemporary culture.
We invited 84 graphic designers and image creators worldwide to participate, with an artwork and a short interview, in this project, revealing their elective affinities with the plant world.
Thanks to the help and collaboration of many people and companies that we met during our study path and who supported us with enthusiasm and professionalism, we were able to produce a book, a calendar, 4 exhibitions and three discussion panels on the topic.
The project was selected for ADI Design Index 2015, the annual selection of the best italian design.

The book is only one of the formats, the project uses and it accompanies a touring exhibition. The book in addition to the works of the designers, is also enriched with a series of texts on subjects underpinning Natural Recall. Landscape architects, writers, musicians, anthropologists and designers have contributed through another medium – not images but words – and shared with us their elective affinities with nature and plants.

The meeting with Michelangelo Pistoletto at SuperOrtoPiù breaks new ground thanks to the participation of the project to the cultural event of the Città dell'arte in Biella.
SuperOrtoPiù was a large urban roof garden of 750 square meters, designed by the artist Michelangelo Pistoletto, and built on the roof of one of the Superstudiopiù buildings in Milan. SuperOrtoPiù was also the venue for debates, exhibitions and meetings on food, design and sustainability issues, and schools and citizens were also invited to actively take care of the garden.
